Tanquinho: hoping for my book tonight

Reggie: I will bring it with me tonight.

Tanquinho: Can I get it either Friday (today) or Monday?

Reggie: i have your book.

Tanquinho: Did anybody snag my book last class?

Reggie: It's a great show. I had been thinking about posting it on the site but with my computer on the friz it will have to wait.

Paul: I checked it out. That was a great documentary. I "get it" now.

Travis: Sorry I didn't make it to the class guys, I sat on the beach way longer then I thought I would.

Tanquinho: Wish I could go, but I only have Sat-Sun and Monday off. Friday I work til 8pm

nick: i guess we are going next week for berkeley and tahoe this sunday

Paul: Yes. Works for me. Which weekend will it be?

Reggie: I'm not going to be able to get off Friday. I'm free Sunday though.

Travis: Paul, Reggie, does fri sat sun work? I was just recruited to work on wed and thur.

Paul: Great class and thanks for the brownies :).

Paul: As for Berkeley- Fri.Sat.Sun. are good for me. I am willing to take time off Fri.

Paul: so if anyone is interested, we can carpool for the Tahoe class.

What is Capoeira?

Capoeira is a Brazilian martial art consisting of music, movement, and rhythm.

Capoeira is a constant flow of movement as players explore creative interactions that range from dance to fight, while non-playing participants still play through music. Players learn new instruments and sing songs in Brazilian/Portuguese.

It is a dance-like fight, A fight-like dance, A song, A way of life.

Capoeira in Truckee is canceled for the winter. Thank you everyone that attended, we hope that we can restart a class there soon. A special thanks to Stephanie and David of Elevation Fitness for making the a great capoeira environment in Truckee possible. If you see them, be sure to thank them, as we would like to return to the space down the road.

Check the calendar for locations and directions. We are trying to start a club at UNR. We need to get 10 people signed up to get the club registered. If you are a UNR student and are interested please send an email.

We are also trying to set up clubs through TMCC, Sierra College, Sierra Nevada. Please email if you are interested or could help.

Just tore open my big blister on my left foot. Definite mort! SO I am out for a while, With regards to how it feels at this moment, I might just have a music sesh on Monday. So I will not be able to show up Friday, I can barely walk as it is.

Wednesday at the River

I will be playing or practicing Capoeira at the river Wednesday if anyone would like to join me. I will be showing my little brother some basics, and have my berimbau and boomer handy. The time we are meeting depends on what time Fortaleza gets off of work and such, it is looking like it may be in the evening around 6pm.

Thursday in Tahoe

I will be heading down to Tahoe around 9-9:30 am Thursday morning. I know it is early, but the class starts around 11am. I plan to be leaving a little bit after the class finishes, so if anyone has to be home for work. or dates, or blah blah, that is cool. I can fit one more person in my car, so would be happy to try and fit another person if possible,.

Get Capoeira stuff from Virtual Capoeira

You may have noticed the Virtual Capoeira ad on the right hand site of the site. We have now partnered with them so now we have another resource for getting various Capoeira gear and such. Anything you buy using that link will help us out. I'm still working out details and such but I will put out more info about the deals as I get them.

Thursday in Tahoe

Alright, so there is an attempt at a beach party this Thursday, and Milho Verde asked me to fill up my car, so I was wondering if anyone would like to leave Tahoe from say around 2pm. My car can comfortably fit one other person, and at total of four people, with minor discomfort, but it is only an hour drive. If you can make it call me (225-4362), or post on this topic. Those who call get priority.
